The Provincial Nominee Program allows Canadian provinces and territories (except Quebec and Nunavut) to nominate individuals for permanent residence based on their specific economic needs. There are nearly 80 different PNP streams across Canada. Many PNP streams are aligned with Express Entry, giving nominees an additional 600 CRS points — virtually guaranteeing an ITA. Non-Express Entry PNP streams (paper-based) are processed separately. Each province sets its own eligibility criteria, occupation lists, and intake caps.
