The Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) and Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP) are community-driven immigration programs that help smaller and rural communities attract and retain foreign workers. Participating communities recommend candidates for permanent residence based on local labor market needs. Candidates must have a job offer from an employer in a participating community and meet basic language, education, and work experience requirements. These programs replaced the former Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP).
